Why I will never be a Hot Blogger (or, Can this be a hot blog?)
From visiting Hottest Bloggers, we figured out the following Ways to Be a Hot Blogger:
1. Put on thick makeup and false eyelashes.
Take a makeover photo of yourself that does not look like you.
Post the photo-that-looks-more-desirable-than-your-real-self on the blog.
INSTANT HITS!!
2. Blog about your life like you would in your REAL personal journal. Give juicy details! Tell all.
Too bad neither one is me. Now I know why I will never shoot to fame as a Hot Blogger. Heh. Even my mugshot is "censored". Bairang emailed me after seeing my blog, "Now why you want to hide your pretty face?" ( My friend is being kind . )
Anyway, unlike some bloggers to whom Blog = Online Diary, I'm not into letting the whole world read my diary and see everything about me ;)
To me, Blog = newspaper column / video medium, more like it.
Maybe, one day, I can use it as a platform for a movie or a book (winning a Prize for Fiction or the Commonwealth Writers Prize!)
BLOGGING, by its very nature, requires most personal details of the blogger.
It's different from writing a novel or book, where it is possible to divorce the writing from the writer.
I cannot bring myself to "bare all" (emotionally or otherwise) about myself on the "worldwide" web -- it will come back to haunt me, I'm sure.
I guess some people can , and I respect their choice. All fellas have been given freedom of choice, after all. God didn't make us robots.
Though consequences follow choices, and each individual's choices have consequences.
Now, if only we can find a way to make this Blog Hot on the strength of the content alone.
Is it possible to have a Hot Blog without revealing too much of the Blogger?
